Wedding car T & C’s

General :

By accepting Happy Ever After’s wedding car Plymouth quote and making a booking i.e., payment of the deposit and or the full hire payment, it will be deemed that you have accepted without exclusion our Terms and Conditions of Hire set out below.

Happy Ever After’s maximum liability will be for the full hire fees paid.

Happy Ever After reserve the right to refuse to accept a contract for hire, which is taken at our sole discretion, whether or not a suitable vehicle is available.

Our vehicle(s) will be fully prepared immediately prior to your Wedding Hire. However, we cannot be responsible for any change to the outward appearance of the vehicle if there is any increment of bad weather or poor terrain en-route to you or during the hire period.

Insurance Exclusions :

Customers drive our vehicles.

Loss or damage to any client’s or guests’ possessions.

Any consequential losses, delays or missed events.

The clients/guests agree not to smoke in our vehicles. This includes any vape devices.

The clients/guests agree that no additional wedding paraphernalia will be attached to our vehicle(s) including but not limited to; tin cans or other items attached by string or adhesives, signs and slogans etc as this could damage our vehicle and is also illegal on the road.

Quotes, bookings & payments:

By accepting the Happy Ever After wedding car Plymouth quote, you agree to the following terms and conditions below:

Any quote supplied by Happy Ever After will be valid for a maximum of 30 days from the date of the quote.

Any quote will be supplied in writing, be it a letter, email or text.

Payment can be made to Happy Ever After, by cash, cheque or bank transfer. Please ensure to inform us what method of payment is preferable. We can then supply the relevant details. A receipt will be provided for all payments made.

If the client wishes to secure their booking, a £50 non-refundable deposit will be required. This will secure the booking for the date and time stated.

Any final balance payment must be paid and cleared 14 days prior to the booked date of wedding, unless Happy Ever After have agreed beforehand on any difference and have supplied this in writing.

If any payment is not received on or before any agreed date, the booking will automatically be deemed null and void, and any monies paid will be forfeited. Happy Ever After’s car will not be provided, unless the full balance has been received.

It is solely the client’s responsibility to ensure that any outstanding balance is fully paid, as per our T & C’s, on the stated date.

Happy Ever After reserves the right to pursue any outstanding balance via their dedicated collection agency. Any extra charges added to any outstanding balance are solely the clients’ own liability.

If you would like confirmation of any payment sent via bank transfer, please either email or text Happy Ever After and we can then confirm receipt of your payment once it has cleared.

Full payment will be required if a booking is 14 days or less before the wedding date.

Time and mileage charges will be based on any activity within a 15 mile radius of PL1 3LQ. Additional mileage / time charges will be agreed prior to our quote/acceptance of booking.

If you would like to change any dates or times that you would like to book Happy Ever After’s vehicle, after acceptance of our quote, these would have to be agreed in writing.

Smoking is not permitted in our vehicles. This also includes vaping or any such devices.

Happy Ever After are fully insured. However, our insurance does not allow or cover the following:

  1. Customers drive our vehicles.
  2. Loss or damage to any client’s or guests’ possessions.
  3. Any consequential losses, delays or missed events.

Itinerary & confirmation:

It is the clients’ responsibility to check that the itinerary is correct. Anything not listed may not be delivered.

The client will be required to provide details with an accurate full postal address at the time of booking; the pick-up point, the ceremony/reception venue and any other journey that you may require, for example, a location for any photographs. Our booking form will show these addresses. Please advise us of any inaccuracies immediately.

Happy Ever After’s wedding car will arrive 15 minutes before the agreed time.

Happy Ever After will do their utmost to ensure that your wedding car and chauffeur are punctual. However, you will appreciate that we cannot be held responsible for any events, such as hold ups due to any form of accident, congestion or breakdown of your vehicle etc.

Any change of wedding date will result in an additional charge of £20.

An additional charge will be made for any extra journeys, extended times or distances other than those stated on the agreed booking form.

We will make every effort to supply the exact vehicle that you requested. However, occasionally due to circumstances beyond our control the vehicle may not be available or have been changed. In these circumstances we will:

  1. Endeavour to supply a similar or better alternative vehicle, or;
  2. If no alternative vehicle can be provided, refund the hire fees paid; please note this will be the full extent of our compensation to you. We would therefore recommend that you obtain appropriate wedding insurance for your own protection.

Cancellations /amendments /alterations:

Any cancellations, amendments, or alterations, must be notified in writing to Happy Ever After as soon as you are aware of any changes.

50% payment of any outstanding fees must be made if the wedding is cancelled within 30 days prior to the wedding date.

Full payment of any outstanding fees must be made if the wedding is cancelled within 14 days prior to the wedding date.

Happy Ever After will make every effort to fill your booked date wherever possible. If we can fill the date, you will not be charged. If we are unable to fill that date, then any outstanding fees will be due in full.

Passenger safety:

Our clients’ safety is our concern while you are a client of Happy Ever After. These conditions are set in place to ensure your safety.

Please do as the chauffeur requests. Once stationary, please remain seated until your chauffeur opens the door. This is for your safety.

Seat belts must be worn at all times. UK law requires all persons to wear seat belts in vehicles where fitted unless you have been given a “Certificate of Exemption from Compulsory Seat Belt Wearing”. Copy of Certificate must be forwarded to the vehicle supplier prior to your booked date. More information on Seat Belt Exemption can be found on the Government Website. A copy of the exemption certificate must be forwarded to Happy Ever After prior to your booked date.

You the client, must advise us if a child will be under 14 years of age on the proposed travel date stating their age at the booked date. At least one adult member 18 yrs + of the wedding party must accompany children when travelling and no children are to be carried in a child seat.

Children must be EITHER 12 years old OR 135 cm tall : Children MUST use the correct restraint, where seat belts are fitted.

Damages:

The client accepts responsibility for any damage, negligent or otherwise, (other than that caused by a Road Traffic Accident or caused by our Chauffeur) to the interior or exterior of the vehicle whilst on hire to the client and further agrees that they will be invoiced accordingly for any repairs or valeting required to bring the vehicle(s) back to pre-hire condition. Happy Ever After will determine the location of repairs.

In the event of passenger illness in the vehicle the cost of a full valet and any time out of service will be charged.

Photographs /videos:

Happy Ever After or another person acting on our behalf may at times take photographs or videos at your wedding and we may use these on our website or in other promotional material. If you do not wish for your photos to be used, please advise us at the time of booking.
